Through the use of an admin key, the available MyKey® feature allows you to program your keys with various limits to encourage smart driving practices. As soon as you activate your MyKey®, the default settings will be:

• Turning on the seat belt reminders and lowering the volume of your audio system whenever the front seat passengers' seat belts are not properly fastened.
• Sounding alerts about low fuel or low battery power sooner than normal, so that the driver of your Ford model is forewarned and can immediately take care of the situation.
• Driver-assist features contained within your Ford model, such as the BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross Traffic Alert and parking aids, will be activated.

After you begin using your admin key, you can set up your MyKey® to:

• Set a vehicle speed limit. Whenever the driver reaches that limit, your MyKey® display will turn on a warning and an audible alert. The driver will not be able to overcome this limit by either fully compressing the accelerator pedal or attempting to use cruise control.
• Handle your volume. The available MyKey® feature lets you adjust the maximum volume of your audio system to only be 45%. This ability gets rid of distracting noise and makes sure everyone riding in the cabin of your Ford model is alert. A warning message will turn on if anyone attempts to exceed that limit.
• Turn on safety features. You will be able to monitor the "always on" setting for features like the AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control (ESC), 911 Assist, traction control and the Emergency Assist. The driver will not be able to turn them off.
